David Hawley

I was born and raised in small, rural farming community in eastern North Carolina, and was the first in my extended family to graduate from college. I am currently finishing my Masters in International Studies at NC State University. Previously, I earned my bachelor’s degree from NC State in Spanish Language and Literature and completed the Global Perspectives Certificate. I have spent extended time living throughout Mexico, and have extensive travel experience around the world. Before joining the Study Abroad Office at NC State University, I worked with advising Hispanic high school students.

I have a love for traveling, and hope to help open the doors of the world to another generation of students.
