David is a historical true crime/cultural history writer, researcher, and public speaker currently living in Franklin, Tasmania.

He is a university medalist with a Creative Arts PhD from the University of Newcastle, where he also lectured. He has published two books of poetry: “Swinging from a Broken Clock” and “Blue Bottle” (Sultana Press) and contributed to Overland, The Australasian Journal of Popular Culture, and Mascara Poetry Journal.

He is also interested in psychogeographical drifting, where he photographs and records urban space as a site of historiographical memories, decay, dreams, and renewal. You can find his images on Instagram.
