David Thurston is the founder of Butterfly Loft, an award-winning, green-certified, upscale salon and spa in Los Angeles (Encino), and the co-founder of "Level6" and "Loft" hair product lines. Prior to entering the beauty industry, David was a Managing Consultant in the San Francisco offices of Navigant Consulting, an international environmental litigation consulting firm. David received an Economics degree from UCLA. David lives in Studio City, CA with his wife and business partner Alexis (pictured) and their two kids, Bowie and Finley. They're active supporters of the JDRF, a leading diabetes research foundation.
