I am a Professor of Architecture at The Cooper Union in New York City, a Director of ATOPIA Innovation LLC, and Design Director of ATOPIA Research inc, a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization registered in New Jersey, USA which in 2010 spun-off PITCHAfrica as a separate entity, and WATERBANKS as a special initiative. I have worked extensively in the UK, Japan, SEAsia, China, the Middle East, Egypt, East Africa, West Africa, Europe and the USA. My work is increasingly concerned with the intersection of ecology and technology. In my spare time I have been a Visiting Professor of Design & Innovation at The African University of Science & Technology, in Abuja, Nigeria, and I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in the UK
