I am husband to my beautiful bride Ashley and I am a steadfast believer in Jesus Christ who I believe was the son of God who came to earth to live the life of one of us; I believe he was tried and convicted of a crime he didn't commit and died a sinner's death so that the words of the old Jewish prophets could be fulfilled and that that death was the sin offering that covers EVERYONE who is willing to accept it. I believe three days after his execution he rose from his grave in a glorified body and played peak-a-bo with his disciples(can't blame the guy for having a little fun after the whole dying thing can you?) before leaving to return to his original home where he, even now, sits at the right hand of his father. There he will remain till the moment of time comes that the Father will tell him it's time to come back for his church. Oh, Glorious day! (Bonus points for you if you get the reference!)

My Christian worldview in turn informs and shapes the rest of my life, from my tastes in music (Third Day, MercyMe, TobyMac, Any of the Passion Conferences Live Albums, or Hillsong stuff) to my politics (I'm a pretty staunch Libertarian who leans conservative, for those unversed in political speak this means I'm someone who believes in maximum liberty and minimal government interference). I believe that religious marriage in particular and civil marriage, in general, should be between a man and a woman, I believe that the number one cause of poverty in this country today is the systematic evisceration of the "nuclear family" by the government, and I believe today's church in the western world has abdicated it's Christ given responsibilities to the government and that this failure is at the core of many of today's social problems.

I am by nature a bit of a tinkerer, I like to know how things work, which leads me to never just take things at face value, whether it's my faith, my fandoms, or the people around me and to always be looking for ways to improve things.
