Despite my first degree in Civil Engineering (where Project Management was part of the syllabus), I soon migrated into the world of systems development firstly as a developer, then team leading where I starting running projects in the 80s.

I took on a Project Management job title in late 90's, then moved to Xansa (an IT and outsourcing consultancy) before becoming an independent Project and Programme Management consultant in the mid 00s.

I'm lucky to have been part of a number of teams delivering successful projects / programmes. While I am deadly serious about setting the best framework for the project teams to succeed, I must admit to enjoying a bit of humour and wind-ups along the way!

I have been persuaded to start a Blog to share some thoughts for other Project Managers on how to increase their chances of Project success. With a bit of tongue in cheek it is called Be a Better Sheepdog.....
