David Afolayan

David is a keen observer of topical developments in the global tech space. He follows the news, gets the details, reads between the lines and points out what is evident but not obvious. Having over a half decade experience in content writing, public relations and digital communications, David also provides digital communication consultancy services for a diverse clientele.

He started out as a News Correspondent at the Megaphone News Agency, a prominent news agency at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, while a sophomore, and rose up the ranks to become the Editor-in-Chief, as a finalist, two years later. He has worked with the Compass Newspaper Arts desk, Crystal FM, Minna, and Computer Warehouse Group, Plc as News Writer and Marketing Communications Executive, respectively.

David is the founder of Aforisms Media, a communications outfit dedicated to helping business enterprises and individuals tell their stories, the way it should be told, through professional content production and distribution services. He is also the co-founder of TechNext, a tech blog with a slant for the African narrative.

David is a quality music and books junkie. He is always ready to offer helping hands to any project which aims to bring quality education to poor Africans, especially the poor (Almajiri) children in the Northern part of Nigeria. He is an avid traveller, a lover of animals (especially monkeys), and a seasonal professional photographer.

David is driven by the principles of thoroughness, dispatch and order. He believes that the greatest duty of man is to attain optimum capability and efficiency.
