David Lacerte is an entrepreneur.

He studied computer science at the University of Sherbrooke where he graduated in 2001. During his studies, he developed an innovative technique for secure online payments.

Afterwards he has been employed for three years in a treasury software company where he developed a data-access engine (ORM), with some specifics that are still considered extremely efficient compared to what exists on the market.

In 2005, Mr. Lacerte founded, along with a longtime friend, the firm Omniscient Technology, specialized in consulting and development of software solutions. Omniscient eventually hired two more employees. It is during this period that Mr. Lacerte participated in the architecture of a large data management solution for the elderly in the United States used by different levels of government and health care agencies.

He left Omniscient in 2010 to complete his experience as an architect on behalf of the respected firm CGI. During his 18 months tenure, Mr. Lacerte has led a team of seven programmers in three cities in the development of an overhaul of a system used by Hydro-Québec for selling and purchasing electricity in the North-American markets.

During these years of experience, David realized there was a need in the small and medium enterprise for better data management. Today’s SMEs juggle with a fair amount of computer data, but often with the means of generic software poorly adapted to the specific needs of the company. That is why in 2012, David moved in the Easter Townships, Magog specifically, to establish the agency Tauron Software Architecture which aims to improve the management of enterprise data for SMEs through simple and affordable solutions with rapid return on investment.
