Dr. David Mauricio is an education administration professional based in Buffalo, NY. Born and raised in New York City, he graduated from the New York City public school system and went on to SUNY College at Buffalo to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education. Dr. David Mauricio has always believed in the power and importance of education, and after graduation he continued his educational journey by earning his Masters of Science in Education in Bilingual Special Education from SUNY College at Buffalo, and his Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Buffalo.

Dr. Mauricio’s post doctorate work has been dedicated to the Buffalo Public School system. He has worked in the district for over two decades and has fully immersed himself in the task of better serving the students of Buffalo. He spent several years working as a monolingual and bilingual Special Education Teacher, and serving as an Education Specialist on the Committee on Special Education. He was then promoted to Director and Supervisor of Special Education before he moved on to serve as Principal of Lorraine Elementary School and then Bennett High School. His upward movement within the Buffalo school district has never stagnated, due to his dedication and effectiveness of his work. Dr. Mauricio was most recently promoted to Chief of Strategic Alignment and Innovation.

Dr. David Mauricio's underlying goal throughout all of his efforts is to create opportunities for all students to find career and educational success beyond their time within the Buffalo school district.
