David Oliverio

Throughout his life and career, mortgage banking executive David Oliverio has maintained involvement with a vast array of professional, charitable, and personal endeavors, attaining a high degree of achievement in all of his pursuits. A longtime resident of the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, David Oliverio attended American University, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science and played for the Eagles men’s varsity basketball team. From there, Mr. Oliverio commenced his career as a loan originator, working for Kissell Company in Annandale, Virginia. At Kissell Company, between 1982 and 1987, Mr. Oliverio outperformed 200-plus loan officers, producing $13 million, $20 million, $32 million, and $61 million in his last four years with the firm. In recognition of his accomplishments, Forth Worth Mortgage recruited Mr. Oliverio to serve as Branch Manager in 1987, thus beginning a 13-year period at the company’s Vienna, Virginia, base of operations. Promoted to Regional Manager and, later, Assistant Vice President, Mr. Oliverio turned his branch into the leading branch at Forth Worth Mortgage for 12 out of 13 years, supervised 50-plus employees at the company’s peak, and consistently produced between $105 million and $260 million in loan volume. After a successful three years as Manager of Community Bank of Northern Virginia, he launched 1st American Mortgage Inc., where from 2002 through 2007 he served as President and Managing Partner. Driving the expansion and growth of 1st American Mortgage throughout his tenure with the firm, Mr. Oliverio opened seven branches, managed more than $1 billion in annual closed loan volume, and oversaw the activities of 225 employees at the company’s peak. At present, David Oliverio serves as Net Branch Manager at Gateway Funding in Vienna, where he oversees compliance, monthly profit and loss, revenues, and loan production.
Recognized for his service to the Northern Virginia real estate community and beyond, David Oliverio has volunteered his time, energy, and resources to a wide range of philanthropic efforts. Over the years, Mr. Oliverio has given to Philomont Volunteer Fire Department, Wakefield School in The Plains, Virginia, and the Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing, where he served as a member from 2008 through 2010. David Oliverio lives and works in Virginia.
