David Ruggerio

James Beard award winner David Ruggerio, is a well-known celebrity chef and restaurant owner in New York City. Ruggerio honed his culinary skills in France at several of the country's leading restaurants, among them the Hotel Negresco with Jacques Maximin; Moulin de Mougins with Roger Verge; and Les Pres d'Eugenie with Michel Guerard. He was honored in 1995 by noted vintner Robert Mondavi as a Rising Star Chef, in the first year of this national awards program.
His experience also includes executive chef and equity partner of Pierre Cardin of Maxims. With Cardin, David was instrumental in the expansion of Maxim as a brand in restaurants and hotels. David also was the executive chef of the famed Le Caravelle, and executive chef and owner of La Chantilly. All three restaurants received national accolades. David has written two acclaimed cookbooks and has had two national PBS series and his own series on TV Food Network called “Ruggerio To Go”.
