David Abelman

I work for a fantastic company, Rite Aid, as EVP of Marketing.

I have also worked with both great people and great companies including Michaels and Office Depot in senior marketing roles. I have earned a reputation for strategic thinking, fact based decisions and great execution. I love to be creative, but I love results even more! I continually work the balance between great vision, consistent communication about what needs to get accomplished (and why) and delivering a great end product with my team.

Balance is always a challenge because there is always much to get accomplished! I have learned, however, that if I blend in the other motivators in my life, everything is executed better. I love to read, I like to golf but wish I was better, I love everything food...cooking, eating and exploring markets. My latest passion is nutrition. I quantify my health daily. What I eat, my exercise and how I feel. I believe we have control over how we look and how we feel. And when you feel great your performance improves. Enough said!

I feel very fortunate for the great opportunities and adventures I have had, both personally and professionally. I hope I continue to contribute until it just isn't fun anyone. And I hope that day never comes.
