David Allan

I was born in Johannesburg South Africa and grew up in Houston Texas. I've always been passionate about education, so I took a year between high school and college to serve with City Year Chicago. City Year gave me the opertunity to work inside a school tutoring and leading an after school program for 50 amazing kids.

I attended Hendrix College where studied business and philosophy. During my junior year, I started Acorn Hours, a online app that allows schools to easily track and verify theirs students community service hours. You can check it out at www.acornhours.com
