David Andrew Taylor

Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I am half English, half Brazilian (my mother is Brazilian, my father English; I was born in England). Having lived and worked in the U.S. and Brazil (since 1999), I am well versed in both legal systems and business cultures. From 1999-2007, I have led and assisted in numerous matters involving joint venture, representation, distributorship and international collaborative agreements, cross-border acquisitions and strategic alliances, anti-trust and SEC issues and commercial litigation. During this period, I became particularly focused on the oil & gas, energy, and mining industries, serving clients such as the Brazilian subsidiary of an international diversified resources company. Since 2007, I have been the principal of Brazil Business and Law Consulting, a practice providing a comprehensive range of legal and business services to domestic and international companies, law firms and individuals, including handling sports business, rail technologies, international litigation and other commercial and contractual matters.

Noteworthy to mention, I am the ninth of the only ten U.S. attorneys at law ever admitted to the Brazilian bar (I was admitted to the Brazilian bar in 2004.). I am also admitted to the bar and district courts of the State of New Jersey and the bar of the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.).
