David Aufhauser

A successful attorney with over 35 years of experience in the law field, David Aufhauser currently serves as a partner of an established law firm in Washington, D.C. Aufhauser is a 1972 graduate of Wesleyan University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts. While attending Wesleyan, he held membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa society and served on the squash team. In 1974, David Aufhauser completed his Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, and in 1977, earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Upon completing his education, David Aufhauser joined the firm of Williams & Connolly, LLC. As a Partner, his areas of concentration include arbitration and mediation, financial counseling services, executive and legislative branch investigations, matters of legal compliance, and economic sanctions. Due to his extensive experience and knowledge in the law field, David Aufhauser was named one of "Washington's Best Lawyers" in both 2010 and 2011.

Previous work experience includes working at a global investment bank in New York City, where Aufhauser served as the Chief Legal Officer for four consecutive years, overseeing hundreds of attorneys in 30 countries. Additionally, David Aufhauser spent time serving as the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he supervised many of the department's legal functions, such as Domestic Finance and Banking, Enforcement, the Internal Revenue Service, and more.

In his spare time, Aufhauser enjoys spending time with his family, including his three children, who have all embarked on successful careers themselves, and his wife, also an attorney and a former acting General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
