David Briskie
Senior executive David Briskie has consistently demonstrated a penchant for innovative thinking and leadership. In high school, he received a bevy of awards, including the highly prized Paul DeLorenzo scholar-athlete award. At Fordham University as an undergraduate, Mr. Briskie earned magna cum laude honors during the pursuit of his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance. In 1989, David Briskie joined Drew Pearson Marketing, Inc. (DPM) as Executive Vice President of Finance and Marketing. From the outset, he planned to revolutionize the company’s business model to infuse new energy into DPM’s previously flagging revenues. In four years, Mr. Briskie managed to increase sales revenues at DPM to $30 million, earning the company the distinction of being named the second fastest growing privately held entrepreneurial company in the region by Dallas100. Moreover, in response to a growing demand for global support and distribution, David Briskie founded a sister company, Drew Pearson International, for the consumer headwear producer in 1992. Mr. Briskie played an integral role in establishing DPI officers throughout Asia, Europe, and Latin America, and in 1996, he was named Chief Executive Officer of both DPM and DPI as a result of his impressive track record of proven results with the company. From 1996 to 2007, David Briskie shepherded DPM and DPI through a merger with a leading manufacturing partner and served as the principal player as the companies went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange following the merger. Under Mr. Briskie’s leadership, DPM and DPI dramatically increased revenues and became a major presence in the national and international consumer headwear market. Yearning for the kind of early-stage company environment in which he thrived in his first years at DPM, David Briskie left DPM and DPI to become CEO of Javalution Coffee Company, which owns the brand name JavaFit. Through his expert guidance, the nutritionally supplemented coffee producer has undertaken a large acquisition in pursuit of vertical integration and increased market prominence. Using the expertise he gained through the systematic expansion and development of DPM and DPI, David Briskie aims to lead Javalution Coffee Company, which trades under the stock symbol JCOF.PK, into a new era of growth and profitability. A member of the Fordham University Alumni Association, David Briskie also supports such international nonprofit organizations as Habitat for Humanity, Kids Matter
