Dr. David Brody

An alumnus of the College of the University of Chicago, Dr. David Brody holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. David Brody earned his MD at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he first began to study psychiatric disorders.

Dr. David Brody began his postgraduate training at the former Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center -Manhattan, where he completed a flexible internship in June 1982. Dr. David Brody subsequently joined the team of residents at Saint Vincent’s Psychiatric Unit and later studied the drug treatment of schizophrenia during a psychopharmacology fellowship at NYU’s prestigious Langone Medical Center.

Today, Dr. David Brody hones his skills as a psychiatrist at his private practice in New York City. Also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he shares these skills with current and aspiring physicians and psychiatrists from across the globe. Furthermore, Dr. David Brody assists the psychiatric staff at New York’s Beth Israel Medical Center.

An active member of his medical community, Dr. David Brody holds membership in numerous professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. David Brody also acts as Secretary for the American Psychiatric Association’s New York County District Branch. Previously, Dr. David Brody held involvement with West Hudson Psychiatric Society’s Executive Council, as well as the American Association of Psychiatric Administrators, leading the New York and New Jersey chapters as President from 2005 to 2006.

Over the years, Dr. David Brody has received numerous accolades for his work in the medical field. In 1985, Saint Vincent’s Hospital-Manhattan recognized Dr. David Brody with a Certificate of Commendation for Excellence in Psychiatric Research. Nine years later, the hospital named him Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
