David Broughton
I originally hail from a little market town called Louth in England's rural county of Lincolnshire. It is a sleeply little place to grow up, where the only other famous writer is a certain Lord Alfred Tennyson.
It was while attending Monks Dyke High School in Louth where I first fell in love with writing, this was attributed to the fact that I was greatly encouraged by some really great English teachers, of which, my favorite was Mr. Etty.
When I write I try not to read and become influenced by other authors, but when I do read my favorite is Stephen Ambrose, of Band of Brothers fame.
I write because I feel it helps me become a better person at trying to understand the world better. My favorite quote is 'Open Your Eyes And You Will See What I See". This is not about physcial things, but more to do with shadowy influences casting dispersions over the globe.
When not writing I love listening to music especially my favorite band IRON MAIDEN. Not everyone's cup of tea I guess, but that's what makes us unique.
I have pet peeves just as everyone else in the world does, my biggest is intolerance to other peoples views on religion, for the life of me I cannot grasp how killing for the sake of religion is a viable option when the main doctrines of nearly all religion is loving thy fellow man as thyself. It is because of this that I am a confirmed Athesist and proudly so, but it does not mean I am intolerant to religion, I'm not, I respect other peoples views on it as I'm sure they respect my views on not belief also.
So far I've written three books that are in publish: THE ALL SEEING EYES, TEARS OF MISERY and my best one to date the multi-ending novel HOUSE OF THE HIDDEN BLADE.
