I am a scientist and in my research I investigate the behaviour of novel magnetic materials. The interactions between the electronic and magnetic properties of these materials is of fundamental scientific interest. These materials also have huge potential for developing novel technological devices for computer memory or processing applications.

If you use a computer, mobile, or just about any other gadget you will be using highly engineered circuits that have been shrunk down to the nanoscale.

My research uses many of the latest tools and techniques for nanofabrication, modelling and the characterisation of magnetic, electronic and structural properties of devices.

My research has been published in major international peer-reviewed journals and I regularly give presentations at both UK and international conferences.
