David Buuck
David Buuck has 32 years of diverse engineering, management, and technology startup experience, spanning the design, production, and marketing of industrial process control, consumer electronics, personal computing, and manned spacecraft systems. Mr. Buuck's career is highlighted by his contributions as one of the architects of NASA's International Space Station electric power system during his tenure at Rockwell International. He holds ten issued U.S. Patents in the fields of computing, video processing, and electronic circuit design. Most recently, Mr. Buuck was Vice President of Business Development and Chief Reliability Officer at Array Power Inc., an early-stage Silicon Valley startup developing new power electronics technologies for the emerging utility-scale photovoltaic energy technology market. Prior to Array Power, Mr. Buuck was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blue Joule Technologies, another solar energy technology startup company. Blue Joule developed power electronics solutions for the emerging concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) systems market. The company was a Finalist in the 2007 California Clean Tech Open startup business plan competition. Prior to Blue Joule, Mr. Buuck was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Radiient Technologies Inc. Radideveloped an all-new wireless consumer electronics audio technology standard that delivers 8-channel, audiophile-quality digital sound for home theater and other mass-market applications. With his leadership, thecompany established itself as an innovator in HDMI signal switching and distribution product development and marketing. Prior to his leadership of Radiient, Mr. Buuck was cofounder and Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Anchor Bay Technologies Inc., where he raised $5M in venture funding from Venrock Associates and Storm Ventures. Before Anchor Bay Technologies, Mr. Buuck was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of DVDO Inc., a fabless semiconductor technology company, from its founding in 1997 to acquisition in 2000. While at DVDO, Mr. Buuck was responsible for all facets of business planning, investor relations, recruiting, product development, technology branding, marketing, and overall business development.
