David Chauvin DO

David Chauvin, DO has over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine CPT and ICD-9/10 coding. Dr. Chauvin currently holds a Vice President Reimbursement position with Premier Physician Partners located in Dayton, Ohio. He oversees the billing and coding logic for 40 emergency departments in 7 different states. The billing company, MBI Solutions, is currently preparing for implementation of the Affordable Care Act and updating to ICD-10 and CMS’s value based modifiers. Dr. Chauvin is the former Chairman of National ACEP’s Reimbursement Committee and currently Chairman of Ohio ACEP’s Reimbursement Committee. He currently serves as a committee member for National ACEP’s Reimbursement Committee, the National Coding and Nomenclature Committee, and represents Ohio’s emergency physicians as a member of CGS’s Carrier Advisory Committee.

David Chauvin is Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified

An instructor-led classroom course, ACLS is advanced and highlights communication and the importance of team dynamics as well as systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. also part of the course is airway management as it relates to pharmacology. Skills are taught to individuals in group sessions and small group learning where students can practice case-based strategies in testing stations.

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.
