David C.Murray

Hanoi, Vietnam

David C. Murray was born in Barnwell, South Carolina. His mother Jennie Jones Murray was a single parent and realized that she needed to attend college in order to support her family. Therefore, at the age of two, David began living part time with his grandparents Lillie B. and David Dorch.

His grandmother, aunts, and uncles took him to church all the time and exposed him to gospel music. This exposure led to his inspiration to make music. He found out that he could sing at the age of 5 years old, but he did not decide to become a true singer until the age of 15. While exploring a musical career, he was able to establish contact with such greats as James Brown, Aaliyah and Akon. However, his mother did not want him to be a singer without completing his education first. So he obtained a degree in the health field.

David loves music because it touches people all over the world regardless of race, color, creed or gender. As he travels around the world, he realizes that music is a universal language. He presently resides in Hanoi Viet Nam. In the future, David plans to record with some of the great artists who live in Viet Nam.
