David Dewar

David Dewar of Tempe, Arizona, has over 27 years of experience in all aspects of business and management. Before commencing his career, David Dewar studied at Ryerson Polytechnical University immediately after finishing his schooling at Keillor MacKay High School. He graduated from Ryerson in the spring of 1985, receiving a Bachelor of Technology with a major in Project Management and a minor in Economics.

David Dewar immediately began putting his expertise to use, founding the David C. Dewar Consulting Ltd., in May of 1985, providing project management services to retail and shopping center clients. He worked on various notable projects, such as Hazelton Lanes in Toronto, Loblaws Supercenters all through Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, and he also worked with Club Monaco and Birks Jewelers. He continued his work as project manager of Copthorne Holdings, a privately held company where David Dewar was responsible for the complete renovation of the 1,000 suites and one million square feet of convention space at Westin Hotels. He then became a partner in Magellan Real Investments, which acquired private equity to finance the development and construction of office and multi-family properties throughout Arizona and California.

In November 2002, Mr. Dewar founded Trillium Residential, a leading multi-family residential development, construction, and management company. Trillium has had a huge impact in its line of work over the years, building in excess of $500 million of nationally award-winning multi-family residential communities in Arizona and California, with institutional joint venture partners.

Currently, David Dewar lives in Arizona, where he manages Blue Pear, a firm focused on finding and sourcing technology-based companies to provide advisory and capitalization services to take the companies to the next level. David Dewar enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children going skiing, fly fishing, and hiking.
