Davide Cardella

Davide Cardella began to study and play music as a self-taught at 14, playing in some garage band as a bass and guitar player for a couple of years and then switched to drums; he had to start to work at 16 and by the age of 20 he had to stop playing due to financial problems...as you know, drums require more room in order to be played than many other instruments!

After that, Davide gave electronic music a go, both as a Dj in some local clubs and composing a dozen tracks (as the title states, it was the First Attempt: http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a113250/first-attempt).
It was only by the end of 2011 that he found himself a good enough job, that allows him to start again to play: thus he pass the audition for Alchemy Room, an Italian prog metal band, as a drummer, with whom he's currently playing. With them, Davide is planning to release the second album on June 2013.
Then, on the 4th of July 2013, he joins Darkkrad: they began studio sessions on november 2013, while their debut album will be released on February 2014.

Very open-minded for what it concerns musical genres, he's more metal oriented. His inspirers are Frank Zappa, Terry Bozzio, Dream Theater, Chemical Brothers, King Crimson, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Dave Weckl, Gavin Harrison and...as a matter of fact they are too many!

His current set-up consists of: 8", 10", 12", 13", 14" toms, 16" floor tom, 22" bass drum, 14" snare drum, 12" piccolo snare, 13" and 14" timbales, 4x6" octobans; 8" custom hihat, 13" and 14" Paiste hihats, 8" Ufip Class Series splash, 10" Paiste splash, 12" Ufip Class Series china splash, 18" Ufip Class Series china, 20" Paiste china, 20" Paiste ride, 14" custom 'smash', 14" custom 'octagon'. He's currently searching for the heads that best fit his drumming style.
