Davide Mauri is a Principal Product Manager for Azure SQL & SQL Server at Microsoft, where he leads strategy and execution at the intersection of data, AI, and developer experience. A Microsoft Data Platform MVP for nearly 12 years before joining Microsoft full-time, Davide has been shaping the evolution of Azure SQL since 2019, driving innovations that span Hyperscale, REST & GraphQL APIs, and AI-powered workloads with vectors and GenAI integration.

With a career in IT that began in 1997—and programming roots going back to age six on an MSX computer—Davide combines deep technical expertise with product vision and business insight. He has founded his own BI and Analytics company in Italy, served as Director of Engineering in IoT, and worked closely with C-level leaders to ensure organizations extract maximum value from their data.

Delivered REST & GraphQL APIs for Azure SQL, championing open-source adoption and developer-first design.
