David Frerker

David Frerker is a recent graduate of San Diego State University. Frerker spent his last two years of college as the social media manager for Beck Ellman Heald Public Relations based out of La Jolla, Calif. Frerker has won two awards for his sports blog that he runs for fun in his free time. Frerker is a guest lecturer in the school of Journalism & Media Studies at SDSU

Frerker loves everything that has to do with sports. He started out by giving weekend updates about San Diego State Athletics on ESPN Radio San Diego. Frerker was invited to blog about San Diego State Athletics with FanSided, a company that mass produces high quality regional sports blogs. FanSided let Frerker go after six months and 50,000 hits.

Shortly after being let go by FanSided Frerker decided to create his own sports blog San Diego Sports Domination. Frerker has been running San Diego Sports Domination for almost three years now and has a staff of 14 writers. San Diego Sports Domination has been recognized nationally as one of the best college sports blogs on the internet by eCollege Finder. San Diego Sports Domination was one of 28 blogs nationally, one of four blogs on the west coast and the only blog in California to win the award.

Many San Diego State Fans have chosen San Diego Sports Domination as the best source of news and information on San Diego State Football and Basketball. Frerker prides himself in his in-depth game previews some of which have been linked to newspapers such as the UT San Diego, Daily Oklahoman, the Seattle Times, ESPN and many other publications.

Frerker has extensive knowledge of building blogs from scratch using social media. Frerker also has extensive knowledge of social media. Frerker was mentioned in this UT San Diego article for his help on getting #SDSULovesBoston trending on Twitter shortly after the Boston Bombings in April of 2013. He also helped to get #SDSULovesWest after the explosion in West Texas that killed 15 people in April of 2013.
