I guess that makes them strategic marketing teams. Or maybe they're marketing strategy teams. Regardless, they get great results.
I've helped grow and launch some very cool companies, from Indaba Music, the leading collaboration tool for musicians, Edelman Consulting, the management strategy consulting arm of the world's leading PR agency, and SS+K, a forward-thinking marketing agency, to Remède Naturopathics, an integrative medical clinic. Before all that, I spent a few years consulting at Katzenbach Partners, a McKinsey & Co. off-shoot. Right now, I'm leading The Brytemoore Group, a brand strategy firm that's all about making sure companies actually deliver on the brands they talk about.
Just so we're clear: I'm not actually as Corporate as all that sounds. For example, I chair the board of PROOF:Media for Social Justice, a network of smart people using art to build global awareness of and drive action on human rights atrocities. In the past, I've consulted for and advised organisations like the Ontario Arts Council, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, and the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
At heart I'm a proud Canadian who's lived life in Toronto, Montréal, Vermont, and downtown New York. And when Manhattan gets too bonkers, there's a quiet place in Maine I go to regroup. A few of my favourite things:
