David Russler-Germain
Physician-Scientist in St. Louis, Missouri
After six years of cell biology education and research at both Stanford (doi.org/10.7554/eLife.02893) and the NIH (doi.org/10.1016/j.jsb.2005.01.007), I am now pursuing a dual MD/PhD as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, MO, USA. My graduate training is in Molecular Genetics and Genomics, and my thesis work explores the pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with a focus on DNA methylation (doi.org/10.1016/j.ccr.2014.02.010).
While presently only an 'aspiring oncologist', I love collaborating on biomedically-related projects.
Previous Projects:
- 3D image analysis algorithm and software design
- Intracellular protein diffusion modeling
- Epithelial cell polarization and vesicular trafficking study
