David Haight (Army)

A U.S. Army infantry officer, Major General David Haight has more than three decades of experience linked to special operations as well as conventional units. In recent years, he served as director of operations of U.S. European Command (USEUCOM). At USEUCOM, David Haight oversaw Army joint military training and operations involving more than 50 different countries. His service background also includes time as deputy commanding general for Regional Command-East in Afghanistan.
Besides his direct command experience, Mr. Haight’s skills are informed by in-the-classroom training. He studied national security at the U.S. Army War College, where he earned his master of science. Earlier, he achieved his master of arts in national security and strategic studies through the U.S. Naval Command and Staff College. Early in his education, he achieved his bachelor of arts in history from Brigham Young University.
For recreation, he pursues outdoor sports like hunting and boating. A family man, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four adult children.
