David Holcer is a 16 year-old, grade 10 high school student. Math is his favourite subject, and hobby. This is shown through his keen interest in tackling difficult problems, and in math contests. Ever since he was little, he was interested and fascinated by the patterns he would find. This later inspired another hobby, lanyards, a type of string art. He is also very interested in computer science, which is closely related to his passion for math.

David pursues his passions through clubs and extracurricular activities such as a Math Contest Club, and participating in Science Fairs, which led him to the 2015 and 2016 Canada Wide Science Fairs.

Apart from science and math, David is media director for Sustainable Youth Canada, a youth-run non-profit focused on changing the world through sustainable environmental practices and conferences. David is an ambassador for both Youth Achieving Success, an organization which holds annual conferences for career explorations and Goodwall, an online site which helps youth display their achievements.

If David is not busy doing homework or volunteering, he is playing sports such as soccer for Killarney, and recently cross country for his school's team.
