David H Peterson
Life Coach in New York
I am a Professional Life Coach and founder of New Venture Coaching. I help men in mid-life discover how to live a life of significance so that they can positively impact the next generation.
Following my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Houghton College, I received a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Since my seminary graduation in 1980, I have served as a pastor in three churches. I was in my previous position for over 25 years since planting the church in 1987.
Since my seminary days, I have had a strong interest in leadership, productivity, self-help, and ministry related topics. In the last several years, I have trained with church strategist and ministry coach Nelson Searcy. I am currently enrolled in the Professional Christian Coaching Institute, moving toward certification with International Coach Federation. These experiences are strengthening my skills and providing a depth of insight that I "bring to the table".
Beginning in 1999, my influence expanded into the former Soviet Union, the Baltics, Africa and India. I have taught in several overseas Bible schools and seminaries and am a featured presenter for Global Leadership Training conferences. Working with both positioned and emerging leaders in these countries has given me a unique perspective on the application of life and leadership principles to life here in North America.
I have been married to my wife, Julie, for over 40 years. We have four adult married children and four grandchildren. We live in the Hudson Valley of New York. I like strong coffee, but not after 6:00 PM!
