David Hughson

Experienced in international business, I work in Boston helping fast growing tech companies realize their global potential. As part of the UK government's award winning international economic development group (UKTI), I've been lucky to work with some of the US and UK's most innovative companies as they expand internationally. I make connections; build communities, develop partnerships and generally aim to help companies understand what they need to do to be successful in a new market.

I love using digital tools to enable business communication. Although we are part of government, UKTI have put social media to good use in building the "UKTI brand" promoting the UK as a place to do business, and connecting with the US and UK business communities. We can always do more, and I enjoy trying out new tools and services to do our job better.

Working with focused, ambitious entrepreneurs as they take small businesses from 2 people and a dog, to international success is the coolest part of this job.
After being on the outside helping some of these companies in a small way, I
look forward to an opportunity to join one of those teams to be a part of the
journey.
