David Jove serves as general counsel for the Tanenbaum Harber Insurance Group. Shortly after joining Tanenbaum he passed the property and casualty exam following the rigorous pre-licensure course, and obtained his license as an insurance agent authorizing him to sell insurance in the state of Florida. Property and casualty insurance provides coverage to protect businesses, professional organizations, and persons, against potential losses in their real property, business capacity, and in their personal property and effects, as well as against losses for legal liability to third parties. A veteran AV rated lawyer, Mr. Jove has also earned and has been recognized for his dedication, commitment, and professional efforts by his peers. Mr. Jove was recognized as top government attorney in 2009, 2010 and 2011, while serving as City Attorney for the City of Hallandale Beach, Florida. One of his many accomplishments, while at the City was to ensure legal compliance resulting in approval of a $1 billion public-private partnership mixed-used Town Center project that involved tax increment financing and the creation of a Community Development District in the city’s downtown know as the Village of Gulfstream Park. Following his tenure at the city, and while in private practice before joining Tanenbaum, Mr. Jove was recognized as a most effective lawyer in a commercial litigation matter in 2012. During his long legal career, he has successfully handled a wide range of litigation matters before trial and appellate courts, in administrative proceedings and in arbitration. Mr. Jove has also worked up transactions for clients, and other syndications. Mr. Jove is also a member of the Miami-Dade Bar Association mindfulness Committee. David Jove earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University before going on to complete his law degree at the University of Miami.
