I'm not deep or profound but I believe nature is. I simply follow my passion of making beautiful and unique images that inspire the viewer to get out into nature and experience it's majesty. I don't have a profound story of how I started in photography, I've known I would enjoy it for a long time so one day I purchased a camera, learned as much as I possibly could and never looked back.
I come from a new generation of photographers that believe our art and knowledge should be shared and not hoarded. I try to make my work accessible to anyone that has an interest.
My free time is spent camping, hiking and volunteering at the local humane society, I believe strongly in giving back to the community.
Most of my time is spent in my amazing native state of Colorado and where most of my images are taken. I have a love affair with mountains but I also spend much of my time in the plains of Colorado, there is a unique beauty on the prairie that few appreciate. I spend the winter snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park going to places very few people will see in the winter, I spend the spring storm chasing in the plains, the summer is spent looking for amazing wildflowers and alpine vistas and in the fall I can be found chasing the changing leaves. I also spend a week every month looking to the heavens to get stunning images of the night sky and milky way that have never been seen before.
