Aldie, VA

I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst with over 9 years of experience concentration in federal contracting, spatial analysis, statistical spatial analysis, predictive modeling, design, integration, implementation, management, proposal writing, and training.

The Myers-Briggs type indicator refers to my personality type (INTJ) as a Mastermind and System Builder, one of the rarest personality types. I have to admit, I find this quite accurate and well suited for my profession. Through my tenure in the GIS field I have found that many of these personality tendencies are required to successfully complete GIS projects. Hallmark tendencies include independence, desire for efficiency, autonomy, creative freedom, conceptualizing intellectual design, and analyzing and formulating complex theories. Often, I find that GIS projects can have a tendency to be general in purpose and not heavily defined; I believe the stated traits are necessary in order to extract and deliver the most meaning to our clients. Due to the general nature of these projects a new approach and unique design are required to not only complete the task but to separate oneself from the competition.

Over the course of my career I have provided GIS guidance, support, and analysis on many of our nation’s crucial DoD and CBP projects. These projects ranged in scale and complexity, from a worldwide OCONUS ARMY operation range inventory, to a border-wide construction and maintenance project, to an installation specific NEPA analysis.
