David Ford
Account Supervisor in Knoxville, TN
I’m an advertising and marketing professional with 15+ years of experience helping brands solve problems, connect with people, and get better work into the world.
As an Account Supervisor at Tombras, I work at the intersection of strategy, client relationships, creative, media, digital, and the many moving pieces it takes to turn a good idea into effective marketing. I’ve worked across a wide range of industries and brands, from automotive and transportation to food, financial services, tourism, and consumer products.
I’m particularly interested in the space where business strategy and brand communication meet: figuring out what a brand needs to say, who it needs to reach, and how we can make that message actually matter. I enjoy the strategic thinking, but I’m equally happy getting into the weeds to make sure the work gets done right.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands including Coca-Cola, State Farm, Freightliner, Western Star, DTNA, Texas Pete, Drake’s Snack Cakes, Foundation Partners Group, the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association, Pal’s Sudden Service, PureCycle, and others.
I’m also a lifelong creative person. Outside of advertising, I spend a lot of time drawing, taking photos, messing around with vintage cameras and old stereo equipment, collecting records, and generally finding excuses to make things. I also direct youth theater, which has taught me a surprising amount about leadership, communication, and getting a room full of people to move in the same direction.
I’m always interested in good ideas, interesting people, better questions, and work that’s worth talking about.
And yes, I still quote The Office far more often than is probably appropriate.
