I'm a composer living in East Lansing, Michigan. My music has been played around the world, including at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall. I try to push myself creatively without leaving audiences behind. Music that isn't challenging isn't interesting. Good music should be emotionally compelling on the surface, and intellectually engaging underneath.

I am currently working on my doctorate in music composition at Michigan State University. I am also co-Artistic Director of the SCENE&heard; concert series at the SCENE Metrospace gallery in East Lansing. When I graduate in May 2011, I'll be looking for a teaching job at a university.
