David Mascio is the Founder, Managing Principal & Chief Investment Officer of the investment firm Della Parola Capital Management. Additionally, he is an adjunct Professor in the Finance department at the business school in Colorado State University. At Della Parola, David Mascio sets the firm’s investment strategy and generates assets.

David Mascio’s Professional Background Prior to Della Parola

David started his investment career as a research analyst and portfolio manager. He then formed Mascio Asset Management. Subsequent to an acquisition, David became the Chief Investment Officer at Poudre River Valley Trust Company, a billion dollar trust bank.

David Mascio and the Formation of Della Parola

David formed Della Parola in 2005 and provides portfolio management services to institutional clients. In 2012, David served as the Managing Director of the Inaugural Global Investment Summit organized by Colorado State University. Also in that year, he served as the Faculty Mentor for a team of graduate students to guide them to the North American finals of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Global Investment Challenge.

The focus of David’s career has been teaching, investment management, private equity, macroeconomic and microeconomic forecasting, financial modeling, portfolio analysis and financial derivatives strategy development. He has advised wealthy families, private family offices, foundations, charitable organizations, pension plans and institutions for more than two decades.

David Mascio’s Education

David earned a B.A. in Economics and Business Management from the University of New Mexico on an athletic scholarship. He then earned an MBA from the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom) and is currently pursuing a PhD at EDHEC Risk Institute (Nice, France). He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and a member of the CFA Institute as well as the CFA Society of Colorado.
