David Mayer
GIS in Chicago, Illinois
I am the planetary GIS/data specialist for the planetary surface research group, led by Prof. Edwin Kite, at the University of Chicago. I use satellite image data to help answer questions about the geological history of other planets, primarily Mars. I run day-to-day operations in the group's stereo photogrammetry facility, The Stereopticon.
I am always interested to learn how other researchers are using remote sensing and field studies to answer questions about planetary surface processes, especially on Mars and in under-explored parts of the Earth. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss these topics or are interested in collaborating.
