David Mimran

David Mimran is co-founder and co-chairman of Mimran Schur Pictures, an independent production house with a genre-spanning library of films. Mimran launched Mimran Schur Pictures with former Geffen Records president Jordan Schur in 2009.
Mimran Schur Pictures produced or co-produced such well-received films as Stone (2010), a psychological thriller starring Robert De Niro; Warrior (2011), a critically acclaimed character study that earned Nick Nolte an Academy Award nomination for his complex portrayal of a fighting champion past his prime; and The Kid (2018), a Chris Pratt Western about a boy who has a life-changing encounter with Billy the Kid.
David Mimran also serves as a director of the Mimran Group (Groupe Mimran), a diversified family holding company with interests in a range of global businesses. He is the CEO of four Groupe Mimran subsidiaries: Mimran Natural Resources S.A (MNR), Grands Moulins d’Abidjan (GMA), Grands Moulins de Dakar (GMD), and Miminvest S.A.
With nearly three decades of leadership experience in the natural resources sector, Mimran is also well-suited for his role as a board member at Teranga Gold Corp. He previously sat on the board of directors of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), a Chicago-based agricultural conglomerate in which he was, for a time, the largest individual outside shareholder. David Mimran also has extensive experience in private equity and investment banking, including successive leadership roles at Blackstreet Capital Management and Breeden Partners, L.P.
Mimran brings his talents and resources to bear as a passionate advocate for the less fortunate. He is a trustee of NYC’s Mount Sinai Hospital and a patron of Artists for Peace and Justice, a global nonprofit that works to build creative capacity in distressed communities. Mimran is also involved with a number of well-known nonprofits, including Save the Children and the Make a Wish Foundation. As a governor of Israel’s Peres Center for Peace, he helps to realize its namesake’s vision for peace and equity in the Middle East.
