David Munro

Galashiels

Originally from Clydebank, I now live in the town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Career wise, I was a specialist driving instructor for many years before owning and operating an award winning hotel in Northumberland. I was, also, Chairman of Clydebank FC Ltd and Riverbank Ltd before relocating to England in 2003. I returned to Scotland as Finance Officer at the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel just outside St. Boswells in 2010.

I joined Sykes Global Services in Galashiels as a Technical Support officer in October 2012 before being propmoted to Client Services Group administrator in July 2013. At the start of October 2013, I began a new role as their Business Development Officer.

I am a recent covert to Scottish Independence, author of Clubs in Crisis Volume Three (Mainstream Publishing. ISBN 0-9544369-2-X) and remain a keen supporter of Clydebank FC. I have 8 'O' Levels, 5 Highers and an SHNC in Accounting. In addition, I am part-qualified with CIPFA. I possess a full and clean driving licence and was a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and a fully qualified driving instructor.

I am highly proficient with many types of computer software and have, in the past, designed websites on a regular basis whilst I, currently, maintain my own personal blog.

I enjoy photography and reading and occasionally share a social drink with friends and colleagues.
