Drawing from more than 20 years of experience in the communications field, David Radanovich is an assistant professor of the practice in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University. Recently, he served as an adjunct professor at both UNC-Chapel Hill and High Point universities, where he taught public relations. He is a member of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).
Before getting his master's degree in public relations at Quinnipiac University, David was the communications manager for Northeast Utilities where he led the public relations/communications functions for its largest subsidiary, Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P). His responsibilities included providing strategic communications counsel to executives, media relations, advertising, employee and customer communications, speechwriting, web sites and social media.
Prior to joining CL&P in 2002, David spent more than a decade working in the communications and marketing departments of Columbia Gas in Columbus, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and communication from Ohio University.
David has volunteered at Chatham Habitat for Humanity. Prior to moving to North Carolina, he served as Chairman of Easter Seals Capital Region and Eastern Connecticut and volunteered for Special Olympics Connecticut's winter games.
His Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania roots explain his love for the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He is a die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan.
