David Riggs Pilot
Having graduated with a degree in Business Administration, David Riggs has been a most formidable force in the business of running a flight training school that not only equips its trainees with the basics but also provides them with unusual attitude recovery, jet aerobatic training, and Formation and Safety Training (FAST). A stunt pilot specializing in movie and television production, David Riggs has been in this high-altitude business for more than 25 years, with high-profile studio projects that include marketing campaigns and production for Titanic, American Pie, The Bourne Identity, Lethal Weapon 4, The Fast and the Furious, King Kong, and the James Bond Franchise. Having been at the helm of Mach One Aviation, Inc. for five years, and at Panopaly Pictures for eight, Dave Riggs has proven himself proficient in all aspects of production, including doing the stunts required in Hollywood films and specializing in the use of his very own invention, the world's first gyro-stabilized movie and television camera system designed to film aerial scenes from high speed jet fighter aircraft. He is the proud owner of the aircraft that serves as the quantum leap toward the reality of jet upset training—the Soviet L-39C. This aircraft, along with a fleet of others such as the Folland Gnat, the L-29, MIG-17 and MIG-21 Military Jets, provide the best vehicles by which trainees get firsthand experience of the jet upset training that David Riggs' Mach One Aviation provides. In a nutshell, Mr. Riggs has managed to create his very own niche which, to this day, has remained solely in his name because of sheer hard work and determination.
