David Robbins

Miami urologist Dr. David Robbins received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Brandeis University where he graduated magna cum laude and also received accolades as a four year member of the varsity soccer team. He went on to obtain his medical degree at the NYU School of Medicine and graduated with honors and was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Robbins trained in general surgery and urology at NYU Medical Center and received advanced training in robotic surgery and laparoscopy. Miami urologist Dr. David Robbins is a board certified urologist and the director of the da Vinci robotic surgical program at Urological Consultants of Florida. He has a special interest in prostate cancer having trained under the guidance of world renowned prostate surgeon and pioneer in the field of nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy, Dr. Herbert Lepor. He refined his techniques of nerve-sparing prostatectomy during his time at NYU and is now quickly gaining recognition as a leader in the field of robotic prostatectomy surgery in South Florida. Dr. Robbins is currently perfoming robotic prostatectomy procedures at Mount Sinai Medcial Center in Miami Beach and Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura. Additionally, as a minimally invasive surgeon, Dr. David Robbins is proud to offer his patients the latest therapies for prostatic enlargement such as GreenLight™ Laser Therapy of the prostate, office based microwave therapy as well as endoscopic holmium laser therapy for kidney stones.
