David Rodriguez

My mentor in college was Doug Hersh, whose credits range from cult classics such as Blue Velvet and Dune. He taught me everything about lighting, framing and composition. Since graduating, I dove right into reality television as a production assistant and was excited to start operating the camera as a camera assistant, junior operator and now as a camera operator. I fully understand how to follow story in the moment while grabbing cutaways. In my personal life, my passions are for running, 4x4 off-roading, dirt bikes and surfing. My energy and enthusiasm for these hobbies bleeds well into my professional life. I’m excited to shoot a wide variety of stories ranging from cooking, fashion, comedy, and makeover-style shows.
