David Romero

David Romero is a native of Arizona and has been practicing in the field of psychotherapy since 1983. David has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University, with post graduate work done at Harvard University in Organization Development: he's been trained at the Phoenix Gestalt Institute, as well as other national and notable training centers, which allowed him to develop his approach through a number of different therapeutic perspectives.

David was the Director of EAP Services at America West Airlines for 10 years where he was responsible for an award winning Substance Abuse Program for certificated Flight Personnel. Since 2004, he has concurrently maintained a private practice as a licensed professional counselor.

David has held various administrative positions in Phoenix and Northern Arizona and recently was a member of senior management for largest provider of mental health services in the United States. In 2006, he came to Tucson and was accepted in the first Executive MBA Program in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. David has a strong, rich and varied background in psychotherapy and organizational development. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Art and Visual Culture Education at The University of Arizona where he plans to combine his varied interests to research the therapeutic relationships between art and psychology.
