David Rubin cdr was born into a heritage marked by significant historical events in Mexico City before settling in Los Angeles, California. The remarkable backgrounds of his parents influenced his early years—his father was a pivotal figure in liberating the Bergen-Belsen DP camps after WWII, and his mother, Bella, survived a Polish concentration camp. These profound family experiences ingrained a deep sense of duty and resilience in him. Raised initially in NY and later in Los Angeles from 9, he carried these values into his adult life, guiding his professional pursuits and personal commitments.

David's academic journey led him to California State University, Northridge, where he pursued a degree in finance starting in 1980. His studies there equipped him with the skills to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a credential that laid the foundation for his extensive career in finance, specifically in structured finance, retirement fund management, and investment strategies.

Throughout his career, David Rubin cdr has been renowned for his innovative contributions to finance and housing. His efforts have resulted in developing and managing over 2,200 housing units across the United States, primarily focused on affordable housing. His leadership roles in companies such as Enhanced Affordable Housing, EDJCO, and Accelfunding demonstrate his commitment to using financial strategies to support broader social and economic objectives, including tax strategies to fund affordable housing initiatives.

David's influence extends into environmental sustainability, where he has engaged in impact investments, particularly benefiting from solar and battery investment tax credits. These investments reflect his belief in aligning financial success with environmental sustainability, emphasizing the dual benefits of economic gain and environmental protection.

Personal challenges have also defined parts of David's journey, particularly highlighted by his wife Gail's diagnosis with pancreatic cancer in 2009. David paused his professional life to support her, seeking advanced medical treatments and engaging with leading research institutions. His dedication contributed to her becoming the longest-living survivor of metastatic pancreatic cancer. Sadly, she passed away in 2024, but her story and their shared resilience continue to inspire many.
