David Sauvage

David Sauvage is an award-winning documentary director. His talent is pulling great performances out of real people and presenting them as powerfully as possible. His film "Carissa," about a young woman who turned her life around, was Executive Produced by Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim and won the Jury Prize for best documentary short at multiple film festivals before it was licensed to Current TV. David's short "Kweisi" was then picked by Current to represent the best of their network at the Slamdance Film Festival. Recently, David completed "Soundcheck," a music documentary about artists from different genres coming together to make new sounds. In the process, he worked with a team of visual effects artists and animators. David has done work for Maybelline, the Wall Street Journal, Bon Appetit Magazine, Nivea for Men, Virgin Mobile and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has an MBA from UCLA and a BA from Columbia University.
