About David

David Sparrow is the International Executive Director of Amped 2 Go International Leadership Exchange, based in Beaverton, Ontario, Canada. With a heart deeply devoted to Jesus Christ, David's life mission centers on knowing Him more intimately and making Him known throughout his community and beyond. His passion for Christ-centered ministry and spiritual leadership has shaped a career dedicated to discipleship, teaching, pastoral care, and developing the next generation of Christian leaders on a global scale. David launched the YouTube channel SpurgeonClips (www.youtube.com/@spurgeonclips) as part of his commitment to making biblical wisdom and Christian teaching accessible worldwide.

Education
David's formative years were spent at Sakeji School in Zambia (Grades 2-8), a private institution serving missionary families and operated by the Plymouth Brethren. This unique educational environment cultivated in him both academic excellence and a deep understanding of Christian commitment and service.

He continued his secondary education at Treverton College (Grades 9-12), a respected private Christian high school that further grounded him in faith-centered learning and leadership development.

At the university level, David earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Africa and went on to complete a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) from the University of Zululand, South Africa, equipping him with both theological depth and scholarly rigor for ministry.

Ministry Career
David's professional ministry spans nearly three decades of dedicated service:

Director of Christian Ministries, Treverton College (1983-1998)
During his sixteen years at Treverton College, David shaped the spiritual formation of countless students, developing and directing Christian ministry programs that integrated faith with education and fostered spiritual growth among young people.

Pastor (Teaching Elder), Don Valley Bible Chapel (1999-2007)
For nine years, David served as a teaching elder and pastor, providing spiritual leadership, biblical instruction, and pastoral care to his congregation while contributing to the theological and spiritual direction of the church community.

National Director, Interserve (2007-2009)
David expanded his ministry focus to organizational and strategic leadership, serving as National Director of Interserve, where he provided vision and direction for this Christian mission organization's work and impact.

Senior Pastor, Fair Havens Community Church (2009-2022)
For thirteen years, David led Fair Havens Community Church in Beaverton, Ontario, as Senior Pastor, building a vibrant faith community rooted in Christ-centered teaching, pastoral care, and spiritual formation. During this season, his heart for knowing and making Jesus known shaped the church's mission and ministry.

Intentional Transitional Pastor, Hanover Missionary Church (2022-2024)
David brought his pastoral wisdom and leadership experience to Hanover Missionary Church during a season of transition, providing spiritual guidance and stability during a critical period in the church's journey.

Current Ministry
International Executive Director, Amped 2 Go International Leadership Exchange (2024-Present)
In his current role, David leads Amped 2 Go International Leadership Exchange, an organization dedicated to developing and equipping emerging leaders with a global vision and transformational impact. His leadership continues to reflect his passion for knowing Christ and making Him known on an international scale, mentoring the next generation of Christian leaders.

David remains available to discuss ministry opportunities, speaking engagements, or leadership collaboration. He is available to preach and teach in churches as an itinerant speaker. David is an expository preacher following disciplined exegesis.
