My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment. Use what you have to run toward your best - that's how I now live my life. Every time you state what you want or believe, you're the first to hear it. It's a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don't put a ceiling on yourself.

I have a guideline for my life that I roughly try to follow. I try to keep it as simple as possible, a framework that is very flexible but allows me to do what I feel is right, and what will ultimately allow me, and those around me, to have a fair and happy existence. I call it the 3 R's. These are RELIABLE, RESPONSIBLE and RESPECT. The importance of being RELIABLE as a person, RESPONSIBLE with your actions and RESPECT everyone, including your enemies.
